4th day: 29 (tbc) Jun 2004: Erecting the first walls!

On this day, the goal was to erect the first walls. This means to have an extra long drill - here you see an 8 mm drill 20 cm long (costs are 30 Euros). We temporarily put up the first wall, drilled holes through the bottom bar of it and a little of the foundation. Then we removed the wall and drilled the hole completely through the foundation. Stainless steel threaded rods with nuts were used to fasten the wall element to the foundation.

This is the result: The complete side room (to come). We first put up the rear (North) wall, then the front wall. Then we put in the bars for the East wall. The board on the upper left and the diagonal stiffeners are temporary bars.
